Baby Daniel is 3 months old now!! He is taking after his sister and is already in 6-month clothes. He loves listening to stories and is starting to play with toys. Yesterday he rolled over for the first time!!
Work has kept me pretty busy lately, but this weekend I took the kids up to Neenah for my cousin's baby shower. Isabelle had a lot of fun playing with her cousin Henry and we got to meet his new baby brother. We somehow managed to get some great pictures with Great-Baba and Gido and their Great-Grandchildren!
Then we had a sleepover at Isabelle's friend Ava's house - here they are practicing their piano duet.
Isabelle and Daniel had a busy Easter weekend. We went to see Mohana at the library on Friday and went to an Easter Egg hunt where they had candy drop from an airplane. On Saturday we made Easter desert with Aunt Amber. Sunday we went to my parents house with my brothers and grandparents and then came back to our house to have Easter with DJ's family.
Isabelle and Daniel looked super cute in their Easter outfits!! They loved hunting for Easter Eggs and playing with their "hop-hops."
Daniel is almost 2 months old and I am getting ready to go back to work on Monday. Daniel is sleeping great at night and Isabelle loves taking care of her little brother!!
We have been busy going on lots of adventures and taking advance of some of the warm weather we have had lately. The last few weeks we went to Cabela's, the movies, library storytime, a stuffed animal sleepover in Whitewater, and the zoo. Isabelle has also been enjoying her weekly sleepover and Grandma and Gido's house.
We have been busy reading lots of books to Daniel!! Here is one of his favorite - The Hungry Caterpillar. We started the "1000 Books Before Kindergarten" program at Waukesha and Daniel is quickly making his way through his first 1000 Books.
We have had Daniel home for almost a week now!! After an emergency c-section he was born at 11:41 PM on Monday, February 20, 2017. We arrived home from the hospital on Thursday. He is a very happy baby and is doing well.
We have been busy over the last few weeks preparing for Baby Smith #2 to arrive!! Isabelle is very excited about being a big sister. She makes sure to feed him breakfast in the morning (usually one of her pretend cupcakes) and gives him lots of hugs and kisses. She has recently started taking care of her "babies" by tucking them in at night and putting diapers on them.
Isabelle loves playing with her kitchen, reading books, coloring, watching Daniel Tiger and Disney movies, and playing with her fishing game. She can count to 5 (usually) and knows most of her colors. Isabelle learning new words every day, but still not a lot of talking yet. We also had some surprisingly nice days outside lately and made a few trips to the zoo and archery range/park.
We had a pretty quiet birthday this year. Isabelle celebrated at Grandma and Gido's house on Saturday with Uncle Matt and Katrina (and Uncle Mike on Google chat) and then at Grandma and Grandpa's house with Aunt Amber. She was very excited to have cake twice in one day!! Some of her favorite presents included toy food and cupcakes for her kitchen, a talking tea set, books, and her favorite disney DVDs.
